Sharp Corner

This blog, like so many others, is just a recounting of events in my life. Most of the readers will be my friends (Hi guys!), but the occassional random person may wander in. If you see something interesting here, comment or send me an email, no matter who you are.

Kee-rash

My computer gives me rage.  It’s very generous in its giving, too.  It gives rage with such wild abandon that I often end up with excess, which I then pass on to my Playstation 2 controllers.  Last night, my cup runneth so far over that I felt the need to dilute it with creativity via Magic Pengel, a game of rare charm and creativity.  But, I digress.

That infernal machine has been acting up more and more lately, with system-rebooting crashes now happening on a daily basis.  During my recent Half Life 2 marathon, it only crashed like this once.  Last night, while played City of Heroes, the thing gave up on me two times in one hour.  Both times, I had just joined a team, but had not made it to their location.  Apparently, my computer, not content to slap me in the face at will, also enjoys stepping on my foot at the same time.

So, for the first time in many, many moons, I turned off my computer last night, and did not turn it back on this morning.  I have reaffimed my dedication to console gaming.  I’ll probably finish Kingdom Hearts tonight.

I’ll gut that worthless pile of silicon, aluminum and wires this weekend.  I will bend it to my will.  Oh, yes.  I will be victorious, or my name isn’t William A. Robinson.  And it is.

Switch

Why switch to Blogger?  Well, it’s got the Atom feed, which I appreciate for several reasons.  I can host my blog on my own site, which is pretty groovy, I think.  It’s more interconnected, with the the sidebar and other features.  So, here I am.

So, what do I blog about?  Here’s a quick summary of current events.

In one week, Misty and I are going to Dragon Con for the second time.  I’ve taken 7 days off of work around that trip, so it’ll be a nice vacation.  After the convention, I’ve got dentist and doctor appoinments, though.

Tampa Bay Anime, the anime club I’m the president of, is doing well.  I just introduced a new meeting format will be starting this weekend.

At work, we’ve moved into a new office building.  I’m back in a cubicle after having three different offices in as many years.  I don’t mind, though – it’s pretty comfortable, and I really never needed much space.

My sister, Heather, is getting married in March.  I’m very happy for her and her precious little daughter, Hailey.  I’m planning on flying up to Louisiana for the wedding.

Game-wise, I just finished Half-Life 2.  It was a lot of fun, and ended pretty abruptly.  I’m looking forward to the sequel coming out soon.  In World of Warcraft, I’ve joined up with the Penny Arcade guild for player-versus-player fighting, which I’ve rarely ever done.  I’m pretty pumped about that.  I’m trying to get another friend to play City of Heroes, too.

That about sums it all up.

All things must change to something new, to something strange.

My new Blogger Blog

Well, I've been inspired by Google and Kindra to try a new blog site. I think I can dig it.
